History of Awkuzu Microfinance Bank Ltd
Awkuzu Microfinance Bank Ltd is located along Otuocha/Oyeagu Road, Awkuzu in Oyi LGA of Anambra State. The Bank started as Awkuzu Community Bank Ltd and was licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria on 2nd July, 1991. It later migrated to Microfinance Bank on 12th May 2008 and renamed Awkuzu Microfinance Bank Ltd.
Our Mission
The Bank strictly adheres to the purpose for which it was established in line with the regulatory directives which include empowering active poor individuals, small and medium enterprises through accessible financial services, fostering economic growth and stability among others.

Our Goal
To help enhance financial and business growth for old and new customers as well as small business owners in the community and beyond.
Milestones
2011: We introduced hire purchase business of hiring tricycles to eligible youths and active young adults, hence expanding financial inclusion. This empowerment started with 5 tricycles but has significantly grown to over 100 beneficiaries of various categories as the need may be. Again, the Bank has extended this gesture of empowerment to the active poor through sienna cars, shuttle buses and trucks, caravan buses, generators, refrigerators, etc.
